Swimming at the Y helps people thrive—in and out of the water. Swim lessons provide kids and teens with the opportunity to set goals and achieve success, learn water safety and enjoy swimming as a form of exercise. Through swimming lessons, swim team, lap swimming and more, the Y provides a safe environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Swim Lessons

We are proud to offer American Red Cross swimming lessons at our YMCA at Pabst Farms branch. The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program stresses water safety skills and knowledge alongside swimming skills at every level. We offer two levels of Parent/ Child, three levels of Preschool, and five levels of Learn-to-Swim, Teen and Adult Lessons.

Masters/Tri Swimming

The adult early morning program is coached by Fred Russell. The group of 25-30 swimmers is divided to emphasize the swimming for tri-athletes and the swimming for competitive Master swimmers. The program is available for participants 18 years and older with a wide range of abilities. Swimmers must be YMCA members. (2 week trial available)

Swim Team

Want to swim competitively in a fun and positive environment? Join the team! The YMCA at Pabst Farms Swim Team is a year-round competitive program that serves swimmers, ranging from those with no competitive experience through Y National and USAS National qualifiers. We participate in both YMCA and USAS sanctioned competitions.
